“Exhaust system installation shall be gastight to prevent exhaust gas fumes from entering inhabited rooms or buildings and terminate in such a manner that toxic fumes cannot reenter a building or structure, particularly through windows, air ventilation inlets, or the engine air-intake system.” [NFPA 110, 2005 Edition, 7.10.2]

Many generators have been, or are planned to be installed in areas normally not considered 'prime locations'. This often results in the exhaust being discharged in proximity to supply air intakes. With an M. K. Plastics Axijet High Plume Diesel Exhaust System, that exhaust is diluted and ejected up and away from the building. Typically, the EPS is in an enclosure and the Axijet is mounted on top.
The following information is required to make the proper M. K. Plastics Axijet High Plume Diesel Exhaust System selection: number of engines and the volume and temp (each) of the exhaust; site elevation; the relative location of the Axijet, number and orientation of exhaust inlet pipes to the plenum; is a standby fan required; and desired effective plume height. Specify M. K. Plastics with confidence. The Axijet is licensed to bear the AMCA Certified Ratings Seal for Air and Sound Performance.
